Pimpin‘ it

What do you remember, when you read Chicorée? Probably that wacky clothing chain, if you grew up in Switzerland in the 80s. At least, this happens with my brain. Which is quite often, as this word also indicates the main ingredient in my all time fave winter salad since childhood. I could easily eat it every day. Easily. Besides dark bread, dark chocolate and green brussels sprout, this is one of my fave foods of all time. Last week I met Heike from @tastyasheck for the first time au naturel and I think, I made a new friend. She also was the one that tagged me on Instagram to list my top 10 foods, which I did. And because I love y’all so much, I am giving you HERE the recipe PLUS some ideas on how to pimp it: IMG_9323 My mum always used to make the salad with Chicorée and Banana only. I like to add whatever there is in the kitchen to give it a little more flavour. Also, the dressing can be varied to your likes. Pictured here is (starting from bottom left) Dukkah, a deliciousness which I did not know before and got as a gift from Heike, Rape Kernels, Pomegranate Seeds, Chives, Avocado and Tangerine. You may be creative and use whatever you think, matches. Mango? Olives? Persimmon? However, I am sure, you will enjoy this dish. So, enjoy!
